REL
Ancient Indian philosophy is replete with a system of specific, purely characteristic terms that express the uniqueness of the paradigm of perception of the world by people belonging to this culture. Some of these terms are karma and dharma, which can be translated into Russian as «action» and «duty», «righteousness». These concepts are fundamental to the foundations of the ancient Indian world order, as they are the basis for the philosophy of reincarnation and the basis for the actual realities of human life. For the epic «Mahabharata», the theme of revealing the philosophy and implementing the principles of karma and dharma is one of the key issues raised and occupies a central place in the narrative. This article examines the principles of implementing the philosophical concepts of karma and dharma described in the «Mahabharata», their gnostic basis and mutual influence in order to reveal the nuances of religious worldview within the framework of ancient Indian civilization, influencing the modern picture of the world of bearers of Indian culture.
