    <p>Массовая культура Японии вызывает интерес у современников как Востока, так и Запада. Особую популярность приобрели анимационные фильмы, в которых представлена традиционная японская культура в ярких, привлекательных для современного зрителя формах. Настоящая статья посвящена изучению творчества Хаяо Миядзаки. На основе анализа четырех произведений (Навсикая из долины ветров (1984), Принцесса Мононоке, 1997, Небесный замок Лапута, 2004, Унесенные ветром, 2001) были обнаружены особенности виртуального образа ритуала очищения, особенности его интерпретации и визуализации в анимационном кино Хаяо Миядзаки.</p>

    <p>The mass culture of Japan is of interest to contemporaries, both East and West. Animated films, which present traditional Japanese culture in bright, attractive forms for modern viewers, have become especially popular. The present article is devoted to the study of Hayao Miyazaki's work. Based on the analysis of four works (Nausikaya of the Valley of the Winds (1984), Princess Mononoke, 1997, Heavenly Castle Laputa, 2004, Gone with the Wind, 2001) the features of the virtual image of the purification ritual and the peculiarities of its interpretation and visualisation in Hayao Miyazaki's animated films have been discovered.</p>
